September auction 2026

Van Spengen Auctioneers celebrates a special milestone: 80 years of art and antiques auctions

The auction house was founded in 1946 by its namesake, Kees van Spengen, and was originally located on the Kerkbrink in Hilversum. Since 1995, Van Spengen has been based in a purpose-built auction house at Koninginneweg 25, directly opposite the iconic Town Hall designed by architect Dudok.

What began as a traditional local art and antiques auction house has, under its current management, grown and developed into one of the leading auctioneers in the Netherlands, with a large international clientele.

We are celebrating this anniversary with a special Anniversary Sale in September.

This auction offers a very wide variety of items, including Fine paintings from the 17th to the 21st century, Chinese porcelain, decorative arts, design, clocks, furniture, a large collection of 19th- and 20th-century sculptures, silver, jewellery and watches.

We kindly invite you to our viewing days from Thursday, 24 September until Sunday, 27 September, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM.
